About me

Hi, thanks for stopping by.  I'm Sally, and I'm a makeup artist (although if you are here, and reading this I'm guessing you know that already).

Ever since I was young I've loved experimenting with makeup - from my very first electric blue eyeliner, through to my rebellious teenage smoky-eye years, it's been a constant source of creativity for me.

My passion for the makeup industry comes from helping women discover their own beauty and self-confidence. Is makeup the best way to becoming more confident? Absolutely not!!! But it can help, and it can be so much fun.

"My eyes held up through the tears that welled in my eyes a few times over the day and I had to keep reminding myself I actually had makeup on in the first place because it was so light and perfect."  - Ann Sheehan

How did I get here?

After 15 years in the corporate financial world I took some time out to have my gorgeous babies, who aren't so little anymore, and the thought of going back to a job working 12 hour days felt wrong - I wanted to work, but I wanted something that didn't leave me stifled, and creatively crushed

I didn't know what I was going to do, so I started doing some short courses and classes to get a feel for things.

And quickly, very quickly, I became obsessed with the idea of makeup artistry

Since then I've completed my Diploma of Screen and Media (Specialist Makeup Services) with National Academy of Beauty, and have gone on to further study advanced techniques and skills with world-class artists such as Donna Mee, ABIA’s 2014 ‘Makeup Artist of the Year’, Becca Gilmartin, and Maqpro Australia's National Educator Charlotte Ravet as well as upskilling in hairstyling for Bridal, Runway and Editorial.

I've been on the makeup team for the Adeevee Fashion Show, Melbourne Fashion Festival event 'Melbourne Fashion Week Plus', worked on the models for the 11th Annual Western Health Community Race Day Fundraiser, and when I'm not working backstage, I spend my days making women beautiful, and teaching them to apply makeup to bring out their best features.

"Sally listened to what I was after and I trusted her to know how best to give me a natural look that enhanced my features so I looked and felt like my best self in my photos." - Angela Ashley-Chiew

When I'm not helping my clients look gorgeous, or on working on set, or conducting makeup lessons,  I spend my time searching for the very best skincare and makeup products, to ensure that every product that I use is going to look wonderful on camera, will last all day and will look flawless.  I use only cruelty-free products, with a majority of my products also being vegan-friendly.

I'd love to chat with you to see how I can help you with your special day

I love makeup that is fresh and modern, and that will enhance your natural beauty - you still look like you, but with makeup that makes your best features pop.

To me it's not just makeup, it's about making you look and feel special.
